So I had this little series project that is currently named “Trunks and Goten in High school” AU that I will try to put all of my DB headcanons in. It’s my take on what happens with Trunks and Goten during their teenage years before they turn 17 and 18 (and if I’m able to, may span into their adulthoods too) so it will be somewhat based on EoZ and DBGT.
To sum it up, Goten and Trunks, now at 15 and 16 years old, enter new high schools and begin to have their own lives and different ways of growing up, but what they don’t expect at all is some complicated feelings they have for their best friend that accompany them along the way. So yeah, it’s a coming of age story mixed with friendship, romance, actions, family moments, etc. You can think of this like a LGBTQ+ romance shounen manga/fan-comic, it’s not 100% a Toriyama style manga (in terms of drawing style and storytelling) ok lol my apologizes to the pure DB fans 😂
These are some of the setting up sketches I made along with some information so if you skip this you’ll probably be a little confused reading the comics, but if you don’t read this, it’s ok too since you’ll be able to experience new feelings when you read them I guess. This series will contain many short comics, every comic is around 8-10 pages, and, be it just setting sketches or short comics, will be updated from time and time again, based on my ability in continuing this.
It’s a series I somewhat do for fun, so I’ll be happy if you can enjoy reading it, and it’s completely fine if you’re not interested in it too, don’t need to think too much about it, and feel free to skip this ^^ But I hope you’ll have fun reading it just as much as I have fun drawing it!
P/s: I almost forgot, Goten is the protagonist while Trunks is more of a deuteragonist, but yeah both of them are the main characters. And Goten is bisexual (or, Trunksexual lol)

Goten & Trunks are cool I should quit my job and drop out of school and commit my life to learning how to draw so that I can draw them holding hands at the urinal. And then I can put that on a redbubble hat and then people could buy it and wear it backwards so that when they’re peeing at the urinal all the other guys in the bathroom would see the hat and feel it as a sort of suggestion DOES THAT SOUND GOOD ?!

So to clear things up about my thoughts on twitter.
I like Twitter the most but the Musk’s constant stunts as well as too many viral contents with the same vibes somewhat exhausted me. People/artists there begin to create/draw a few specific types of themes to try and attract audiences as well as to appease Musk’s idiotic policies and algorithm much more. You would recognize the pattern if you pay a bit of attention to it, most of the viral contents would always be: gag, nsfw, wholesome stuff, fanarts that have these specific themes, meme, shitposting, hot takes, and toxic takes bc people are exhausted, hot and bothered due to summer heat. The posts may look different but the vibes would always be the same, it’s the key to success on the internet. Or at least on a specific site like the current Twitter. .
and idk I guess I just feel kinda overwhelmed with all of that, especially when I see professional working creatives don’t even get as much exposures as what I listed from above (for example, Quentin Tarantino, and many other storyboard artists, etc). It’s discouraging, no wonder they all use LinkedIn or just uploading stuff to Instagram for fun. But don’t listen to me too much, I’m just a rando lol
But. There’s always a but.
I still want to return and update things there. Although my stuff don’t have that many fans, some readers who loved, followed and commented on my work made me really happy. I love reading their thoughts and I remember quote retweeting some of my favorite comments from them from time to time. So yeah, I would still hope to return to it soon even when there’s no one left behind to read my stuff lol. I guess in the end I just like to connect and converse with people, I’m actually a social person irl as well. Just want to connect thru art, yo ✌️

The whole “Trunks and Goten in High school AU” webcomic is being soft-rebooting, more properly this time and not just a “fan art stuff”. This is more like an adaptation for an art assignment now, which is really nostalgic for me.
This webcomic series’s name is “The UNSPOKEN” anyway, it’s much shorter than its original name and much more concise ✌️

The worst thing is that once they are done migrating outside of Google cloud, the costs may go down, but probably not too much (they still need servers and bandwidth somewhere, and at Twitter scale it's always going to be hella expensive), and on top of that they will acquire a endemic stability problem (running their own cloud with the Minimum Viable Team they have right now? Pfffffdhahaha)
It’s been quite sometime since the last time I post something here, quite eventful as well, the event kinda slapped me awake lol, but continuing the previous topic with all the “fun research” is gonna take more time to clean up the drafts (I already wrote the outline since January and the updated version in March 1st) so I’ll post it some time this month. But before that, read the next chapter in my current webseries project! It has more than 30 pages, started out in August 2022 and has finished in March this year. During the production stage of this series a lot had happened so it took 7 months for it to actually be completed 💩
That being said I also opened a Patreon in last year’s August/September! 🎉 The Patreon mostly will be used to support me during the production stage of this weberies because right now I can only spend some hours of my sleeping time to draw it. I work a lot in real life, but every single second that I’m free I currently spend it all on this personal project. You’re right about how this story tells us a part of the more underrated character’s life that we didn’t see much. In fact, this whole webcomic series is about the hidden sides that we didn’t get to see much of these characters, or just never cared enough to talk about it before. I do think it has potentials despite the lack of an audience, professionally speaking as well, that’s why I’m doing/renovating it 🥴
Also, little did you know chapter 4 “The Iron Woman”, is just part 1 of a 2-shots series 👀 Here’s the preview of part 2 aka the next chapter. I’m gonna continue working on it more after the soft reboot of the series.
I also haven’t been able to share this to many people (except for patreon peeps of course ✌️) but even though “The Iron Woman” got less appeal than other comics I’ve made, it actually touched someone’s heart aka a fan. We had some fun chats, then he asked for my permission to translate the comic into French and share to his Facebook group. And voila, here are some pages from the files of the full comic they’ve sent me, it’s really touching. And everyone sounds great in French for some reasons to me lol.
